Skunk Hollow was a thriving settlement of free African-Americans, in what is now near Palisades NY in 1806. It represents an early example of Free Blacks establishing their own prosperous community in Pre-Civil War America.
We wanted to create a candle to illuminate their enduring spirit and share their inspiring story . Our Skunk Hollow candle is made with our blend of 90% beeswax with the touch of Shea, butter and coconut with top notes of lemon, middle notes of hemp with a base of patchouli and vetiver. This is a limited candle.
